I had a Stampin' Up party the other night. This is a picture of the cards we made. I had fun using ruby red, old olive and whisper white to create these projects. The clipboard was the hostess gift.

Extra

Well here they are, pictures from when I was an extra on the Johnny Depp film, The Rum Diary.
Don't we all look so young and beautiful:) I look like a 200 lb old women. It's true and you all know it.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun being on the set and seeing what goes on behind the scenes of a movie. I was disappointed though because after all the dressing up and waiting around (total hours for the whole day: 12) me and a few others were not even used to be in the filming:(
We did however get a to see Johnny Depp walking around the set and we also got a picture with Aaron Eckhart!! These pictures were taking back at the tents. There was a strong NO PHOTOGRAPHY rule on the set and we were lucky to get the pictures we did.
I was hoping to get another chance to be on the film because I was asked to come back for a different scene but they have canceled twice because of weather. Oh well, my fame may come in the near future but for now I'm happy being a wife and mother:)

A Fun Opportunity
I have been given an opportunity to be in the Johnny Depp movie that's being filmed here in San Juan. I submitted my name to be an extra about a week or so ago and they called me back. I'm going to be and Airport tourist. They are going to do my hair and makeup and I get to wear a 1950's business dress with a hat and purse to match. They are filming on Monday. So, I'll let you know how it goes. I'm really excited.

Visitors
My parents and brother came in to town over Easter and although the time flew by, we enjoyed having them here. We were able to play at the pool and the beach. We visited Old San Juan and the rain forest and we also celebrated Easter with them. Wish you guys were still here. Miss you tons!

Johnny Depp

Monday morning , April 13, I saw Johnny Depp and he waved to me as I drove on a trolley with my mom, dad, brother and my girls in Old San Juan.
I'm not kidding.
It was so cool!
My parents and brother where in town over Easter and we had a ton of fun, but I have to say that was the highlight of the visit. We had been in Old San Juan two days earlier and my brother bought a souvenir bell to give a friend. On the way home he asked me to hold his bag for a minute while he visited the restroom. While I was waiting with my mom a stray cat came up to us begging for food. I just couldn't walkaway without throwing it a small cookie and as I did that kind gesture:) the bag with the souvenir bell slipped from my fingers and shattered on the pavement. I felt horrible, of course, but my family assured me that it would be fine. We would just return to Old San Juan on Monday morning to buy a new one. It didn't take long to purchase the new bell and we had an hour or so to kill before meeting Wes for lunch. We decided to take the trolley around the city and see the sights. As we drove we noticed that there was a lot of old vintage cars parked along the side walk. There was even men and women dressed in vintage clothes just standing by lamp posts or sitting on the sidewalk. We thought it was cool but didn't know what it was for. As we drove further down the road I remembered that the ladies in our ward had mentioned that Johnny Depp was filming a movie in Old San Juan called The Rum Diary. Of course I remembered this two seconds too late because as I had mentioned this to my family the guy behind us in the trolley said we just past a cab and Johnny was in it. I was soo annoyed that he didn't mention this to everyone because I thought I had just missed a chance to see Johnny Depp. Anyway, the trolley ended up going back on that same road and as we drove past the extras I yelled out, "where's Johnny" (because there was no way I was going to miss him this time). One girl said, "he's in the cab". So everyone on the trolley was searching for his cab and sure enough in a black vintage cab there was Johnny, we met eyes and he held his hand up and gave a slight wave before the trolley turned the corner and he was gone.
I was gleaming from that experience. My Dad on the other hand thought is was way cool that we drove through a real movie set. He said as soon as we turned the corner the movie crew drove off and started filming.
What a day!
